Our Pastors

Bishop Lewis E. Evans, D.Th.

Bishop Lewis E. Evans is Sr. Pastor of Soul Harvest Ministries, which he founded by the Holy Ghost in May 1994; and Presiding Prelate of the Soul-winners Evangelism And Disciple-makers Interdenominational Fellowship (SEAD), which was organized in 1996.

Bishop Evans places great value on the call of God, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and educational preparation for the work of the ministry.  Called to preach at only four years old, Bishop accepted Christ and was filled with the Holy Spirit as a pre-teen, and pursued his childhood calling as a preacher at age 17. He later attended the University of Detroit and received a Bachelor of Religious Education from Detroit Bible College ( William Tyndale) in 1977.  In 1987, he received a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling from California Graduate School of Theology, Anaheim, California, and in 1991, a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies from Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland Ohio.  Bishop Evans engaged in doctoral studies, beginning in 1988 at the California Graduate School of Theology, and later at Faith Evangelistic Theological Seminary.  He was conferred with the degree of Doctor of Theology from the former Faith Evangelistic Theological Seminary on May 14, 1994.

Beyond his educational preparation, Bishop was raised in the church. He is the son of the late Bishop O.A. Evans, pastor emeritus of the Indiana St. Church of God In Christ where he pastored for over 50 years, and the late Mother Oxolla Evans, a praying, Godly woman.

Bishop cherishes his wife, Dr. Lynda Evans, his partner in ministry and he is the proud and loving father of two daughters, who have in turn blessed him with eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. The oldest daughter; Brenda, serves as an LEAD Pastor of Soul Harvest

Bishop Evans is a highly anointed leader with a vision for God’s people and a bold stance for the Lord.  He has an unparalleled passion for the lost, and he is one of the greatest teachers of the Word in the body of Christ. Bishop, a Pastor of Pastors,  is academically prepared, spiritually attuned, intellectually astute, mentally elevated, equally yoked, faith-empowered, eagle-eyed, enemy lethal, and ever-ready to meet the challenges of ministry in this century.

Dr. Lynda C Evans, M.B.A., D.D

D.  She works alongside him, administering, preaching and teaching. She directs the Women’s Ministry in both church and Fellowship.

Dr. Lynda Evans was raised in the church by godly parents, John and Delores Hazely, both now deceased.  She was baptized at age six, and has never been out of fellowship, even in her university years. She has acquired her considerable knowledge of the Word primarily from the teachings of her husband, Bishop Evans, supported by years of study. She worked and studied beside him while he was obtaining his Masters degree from Ashland Theological Seminary and through his Doctorate of Theology dissertation preparation and completion.  This, along with her own substantial formal education has made her the dynamic teacher, preacher and leader that she is today, all by the power of the precious Holy Ghost.

Dr. Evans {affectionately also known as "Mother Evans"} has ministered at numerous churches and conferences. Some of her areas of regular emphasis include Spiritual Warfare, Women Mentoring Women, Women In Ministry, Time Management, Leadership Skills, Ministry of Helps. Dr. Evans believes the Holy Spirit is best evidenced in our daily walk, and that our profession of faith demands a consistent learning and growing to be conformed to the image of God’s dear son, Jesus.

We present our bodies, a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God; which is our reasonable service.  Romans 12:1
